As the birthplace of the mop-haired Fab Four, Liverpool is a fascinating pilgrimage site for Beatles fans. A historic maritime city, Liverpool is home to quaint cobbled streets, historic buildings and spectacular views over the Mersey.  

On this private tour with an expert, passionate guide, you will learn all about the early lives of the Beatles in Liverpool, where they lived and went to school, how they met and formed a band - you’ll see where they bought their first instruments and were signed by Brian Epstein. You’ll hear all about their meteoric rise to fame - and the ensuing Beatlemania! 

Your tour will take you past the statue of Eleanor Rigby, and the John Lennon statue, before walking down musical memory lane Matthew Street: one of the most famous streets in the world, home of the notorious, legendary Cavern Club, which opened in 1957 as a jazz club and later became synonymous with the Beatles who played here live regularly. Your guide will show you inside this iconic institution.

You’ll also be able to pop into The Grapes pub, a favourite of the Beatles who would have a drink here between sets at the nearby Cavern. You’ll walk from Derby Square up Castle Street flanked by beautiful and historic buildings and shop fronts, a lively street full of bars and restaurants, towards the magnificent Town Hall - where both royalty and the Beatles have stood at the balcony.  

Then, you’ll head down to the picturesque waterfront where you’ll see the famous Liverpool skyline, the historic buildings known as the Three Graces, the Albert Dock, and the amazing life-size bronze statues of the Beatles overlooking the Mersey.

Your tour ends outside the Beatles Story Museum, where your guide will give you your tickets and leave you to explore the world’s largest permanent collection of Beatles memorabilia.
