Uplistsikhe Cave is an ancient rock-hewn town located in eastern Georgia, approximately 10 kilometers east of the town of Gori. It is one of the oldest urban settlements in Georgia, with origins dating back to the early Iron Age around 1,000 BC. It served as a major political and religious center during various periods of Georgian history.
