Learn all about the palaeontologists of the 19th century as well as some of the latest research and discoveries, especially about Hope, the giant Blue Whale, whose skeleton hangs from the ceiling in the Hintze Hall and weighs 4.5 tonnes. Scientists have discovered the secrets of the last seven years of her life… 

The museums of Exhibition Row were the brainchild of Prince Albert, beloved husband of Queen Victoria. As you wander the pretty, even majestic, streets of Kensington you’ll learn all about his life, and the history of this exclusive neighbourhood – known at the time as Albertopolis! Admire the architecture of the Science Museum, the Victoria and Albert, the Royal Albert Hall, and the moving Albert Memorial, before heading into the edge of Hyde Park, and the pretty gardens of Kensington Palace – home to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. You’ll walk along the Princess Diana Memorial Walk, and be able to view the new bronze statue of the late princess, unveiled by her sons Princes William and Harry in the sunken garden. Your tour ends outside Kensington Palace, and your guide can orient you around the 350 acres of Hyde Park, or steer you towards the High Street!
