Marshall House

At the heart of America's first planned city, Johnson Square has been at the center of the city since it was built in the 1730's.

The federal style home was built by famed architect Isaiah Davenport and was part of an initial effort to save historic homes in Savannah in the 1930's.

Though it's been on the registry for historic places since 1976, the preserved slave quarters were not discovered until the 1990s. Restoration continues today.

The birthplace of the founder of Girl Scouts of America now serves as a museum honoring her life and is a treasured spot for all Girl Scouts.

The six-acre cemetery in the historic district was established in 1750 and is the final resting place of over 9000 Savannah residents.

The historic hotel was first home to Irish immigrant, William Kehoe, who became a successful foundry owner in Savannah.
