There’s so much going on here that it could easily slip your attention, but there is a Madame Tussauds here too
The Venetian is one of Las Vegas’ most spectacular resorts, inspired by the Italian city and its web of romantic canals. At one end you will find romantic gondola rides, at the other a colourful two-storey waterfall atrium and garden. You don’t need to stay at the hotel to enjoy it: walk along the streets, or drift along in a boat, enjoying the “Streetmosphere” — live performances by a collection of costumed opera singers, dancer and slit walkers.
Of course The Venetian also has its own casino, and it is regal, covering 120,000 square feet with its marble floors and hand-painted ceiling frescoes. It offers every game you could imagine, over 120 tables, and has a high-limit lounge for the big shots.
Spend your winnings or comfort yourself your losses at the shopping mall with 80 upscale boutiques and first class restaurants set around a ‘faithful’ reproduction of Venice’s Grand Canal. You’ll find the warren of cobbled walkways and street side cafes with the breezy music of serenading gondoliers. Do your shopping, but be sure to check out the award-winning restaurants. Wolfgang Puck’s Postrio and Emeril Lagasse’s Delmonico Steakhouse are very special.
