St George's Chapel of Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle

Your tour begins in the historic town of Windsor, where your guide will tell you the highlights from its thousand year  history. Upon entering Windsor Castle, enjoy the State Apartments, where you will see magnificent rooms,  including St. George’s Hall where larger than life banquets are held, Old Master paintings, stunning suits of armour  as well as the flawless grounds and gardens. Another highlight will be St George’s Chapel - where numerous  weddings within the Royal family have occurred and where famous monarchs, including the infamously beheaded  Charles I are buried.

Walking tour of Windsor Town

After your tour of the Castle, our guide will take you on a walk through Windsor’s medieval cobbled streets with their timber-framed houses to see the Long Walk, a three-mile avenue connecting the Castle to the Great Park, and on down to the Thames Riverside with its colourful boats and royally-owned swans.
