Hagia Triada

It was built in 1880 and is considered the largest Greek Orthodox church in Istanbul today, still in use by the Greek community in the city.

Hagia Triada, or the Church of the Holy Trinity, is a historic Greek Orthodox church located in Istanbul's Beyoğlu district, near the famous Istiklal Avenue. Built in 1880, it is the largest Greek Orthodox church in Istanbul and one of the most important religious sites for the local Greek community. The church's architectural style is neo-classical, with elements of Byzantine influence, and it features a large dome, beautiful frescoes, and intricate woodwork.

Hagia Triada has been an active place of worship for the Greek Orthodox population of Istanbul, holding regular services and religious events. It also plays a significant cultural role in the community, especially during major religious holidays such as Easter. The church's serene interior, with its grand altar and rich iconography, contrasts with the bustling environment outside, providing a peaceful spiritual space. Its central location and historical significance make it a key landmark in Istanbul's multicultural landscape.
