Machu Picchu
Machu Picchu is a historic sanctuary located 7,000 feet above sea level built around 1450AD. This "Lost City" is a symbol of the Inca Empire that was never introduced to the Spaniards after they conquered America and it was forgotten until the early 20th century.
It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 and was named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2007.
