Eze: Medieval Riviera
On your scenic journey towards the famous medieval village of Eze, you will travel along the Haute Corniche road, that boasts some excellent panoramic views over Cap Ferrat, the Bay of Billionaires, and its famous villas. Eze, itself is a walled medieval village dating back to the 12th century, perched atop of a rugged mountain and offering spectacular views of the French Mediterranean. Your guide will take you through gorgeous cobblestone streets lined with vaulted houses, which are home to numerous craft shops & studios. On request, a free guided tour of a traditional perfumery at the Fragonard factory can be included, where you will discover the fragrant history of Provence.
Monaco and Monte Carlo: Billionaire’s Playground
You will then proceed to follow the Corniche, where you will reach the Old Town of Monaco. Although the second smallest country in the world, Monaco remains one of the most glamorous, with stunning skyscrapers, opulent villas, royal palaces, gorgeous gardens, and plenty of high-end shopping. Explore the beautiful monuments of the Old Town, including: Cathédrale de Monaco, where Prince Rainier and actress Grace Kelly were married and eventually buried; the Prince’s Palace of Monaco, where Prince Albert II of Grimaldi currently resides (additional cost); the Oceanographic Museum (additional cost); and the Courthouse. You will be pleased to witness the traditional changing of the guards, followed by a typically Monegasque lunch at a local eatery.
You will also pay a visit to Monte Carlo, following the amazing Formula One Grand Prix circuit. During your walking tour, you will experience what Monaco is famous for: its beautiful Monte Carlo Casino and the stunning Opera House, built by Charles Garnier. At Casino Square you will also have time to indulge in some luxury shopping, enjoy the amazing gardens, luxurious hotels, and mega-yachts that nestle in the harbor.
