Authentic Everglades Wetlands Experience: Private Airboat Tour
Accompanied by a true "Gladesman", cruise across the shallow waters and sawgrass prairie to a distant Seminole Miccosukee tribe island on this fascinating Everglades expedition. Get up close with some of the Glades’ unique wildlife and learn about the ecology of the “River of Grass” and the local Gladesmen Culture

On your private tour, you will:

  • Be picked up from your hotel in Miami and enjoy an easy transfer to your airboat;
  • Meet 5th Generation Gladesmen at their home and camp; they will share with you their personal experiences and expert knowledge of the "way of the Glades";
  • Cruise on an airboat for one hour through the Everglades, where you’ll have the chance to see the local wildlife up close (including American Alligators)  and learn of the area's rich flora and fauna;
  • Venture onto tree islands, once inhabited by the Miccosukee Seminole tribe;
  • Hop back in your private transfer and enjoy an easy ride back into Miami.

Watch in wonder as great blue heronsegretswood storks and ibises spread their wings, and Alligators bask in the sun, as you travel into the heart of the Everglades. It is here among the sawgrass prairie that remote cypress islands filled with Seminole and Miccosukee history still exist,  and it is here that your adventure begins.

Only accessible by airboat, you will travel into the Everglades to uncover its secrets. Visit a small island that the Seminole Miccosukee tribe once called home, and learn of their way of life, as well as that of the local Glademsen, and their relationship with local wildlife.

After your tour, you will be driven back to Miami in your private vehicle and can be dropped off at any central Miami location.

Private Jeep and Airboat Tour of Everglades National Park
Visit one of America’s great national parks on a six-hour tour of the Florida Everglades from Miami. On your private tour you will:

  • Be picked up from your hotel in Miami in a 4X4 Jeep, and head out into the National Park accompanied by an expert local guide and Everglades aficionado!
  • Drive deep into the heart of the Everglades, where you’ll discover that just a few feet difference in elevation gives birth to entirely different ecosystems. See pine and cypress forests as well as an abundance of local wildlife, including the American Alligator.
  • Meet a local Seminole Miccosukee tribe member who will lead you and your guide on a 1-hour airboat experience, including a visit to one or more tribal tree islands
  • Learn about the Seminole Miccosukee tribe, their historyway of life and conservation efforts of the glades. You may even see some baby alligators or turtles that have recently been rescued and are on their way to rehabilitation and release.
  • After your airboat ride and jeep excursion, enjoy an easy drive back to central Miami where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.
  • Please note: we recommend visiting the park when the wildlife is most active – between December and June.
  • Water, mosquito repellent, and ponchos in case of rain will be provided for you. Please bring any food or drinks you wish to consume during the excursion.

Your private tour takes you to America’s largest subtropical wilderness, Florida Everglades National Park. Established in the 1940’s to stop the degradation already occurring through real estate development, the park covers over 7800 square miles and the tenth-largest national park in the country. It is entirely devoted to protecting the flora and fauna within the delicate biosphere. You will be accompanied by a private guide throughout the excursion and will be joined by a Miccosukee tribesperson for the airboat experience. Both are extremely knowledgeable about the limited roads, the changing weather, and the rich variety of species which call this park home. With several ecosystems located within it, the Everglades are an ideal place for spotting many of Florida’s indigenous wildlife, including alligators, egrets, and if you’re lucky, the endangered panther.

Whether you are into seeing the cypresses and tree islands or the many animals in the park, you won’t regret exploring this tour with private guides, who have devoted their lives to bringing travellers respectfully into the park’s many ecosystems.
