What makes this tour special

For such an iconic and historical city, Boston is relatively small and easily walkable – chock full of incredible stories to tell, with a unique blend of colonial, French, and Georgian architecture. Follow the Freedom Trail through some of Boston’s iconic historical sites and ornate buildings. Your guide will lead you through revolutionary stories told through a less traditional lens than other tours, which will feature both women and African-Americans as heroes in the history of Boston.

During your private, 3-hour tour of Boston, you will:

·      Meet your guide in a pre-arranged public spot at the Boston Commons.
·      Visit the historic 54th Regiment Memorial, where Robert Gould Shaw led the regiment out of Boston to fight the South in the Civil War.
·      Get a look at Park Street Church, part of the Freedom Trail, and from where the women’s march took place.
·      Stop at the Omni Parker House, where Malcom X once worked as a bus boy.
·      Visit the stunning Old City Hall, one of the first buildings in the U.S. designed in the French Second Empire style.
·      Pay homage to the site of the Boston Massacre of 1770 and hear the incidents which led to the event.
·      Enjoy a snack and drink at an Irish pub, like The Black Rose, and learn about the influence of Irish immigration on Boston.
·      Stroll through the Rose Kennedy Greenway.
·      End the tour at Seaport Blvd at Martin’s Park, Smith Family Waterfront. Your guide will discuss the evolution of this neighborhood and point out great activities for you to do for the rest of your time in the city.

During this tour, the immigrant experience will also be told through historical and modern-day means. As with any good Boston tour, a look into the innovative food and beer scene is a highlight. A snack and drink are provided as part of this historic tour of Boston.
