What makes this tour special
Follow in the footsteps of John, Paul, George and Ringo from schoolboy haunts and favourite pubs to world-wide Beatlemania. On your private walking tour:
Discover the city that brought the world the Beatles from the band’s early beginnings to fan-crazed global fame.
Visit clubs where the Beatles auditions, John Lennon’s favourite pub, the site of Brian Epstein’s shop, and the street where John and Stu Sutcliffe lived.
Stop in for a pint or a house wine at one of the many watering holes of the group.
Learn about the beating heart of Liverpool’s iconic music scene and the venues where the Beatles honed their craft, including the The Cavern Club - home to seven decades of live gigs.
Hear how the Beatles’ famous Scouse humour influenced the lyrics of their songs, for example the way the Fab Four dropped ingredients into songs, such as cornflakes, truffles, honey, turkey, marshmallows, strawberries, eggs, peppers and pies!
Enjoy the ultimate selfie shot with the iconic life-size Beatles’ statue on Liverpool's Waterfront, erected to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the band's last home gig.
As the birthplace of the mop-haired Fab Four, Liverpool is a fascinating pilgrimage site for Beatles’ fans and our private walking tour starts on the Albert Dock at award-winning museum, The Beatles’ Story. See a replica of the legendary Cavern Club together with original instruments, stage costumes, artworks and other memorabilia. Numerous Beatles’ statues provide perfect Insta opportunities, from Eleanor Rigby to the sculptor Andrew Edwards’ stunning new bronze. A stroll to other Beatles’ sites takes us to Whitechapel where Brian Epstein’s shop was located, Leigh Street, where John and Cynthia Lennon held their wedding reception and Slater Street where John and art-school pal Stuart Sutcliffe loved to hang out.
In Seel Street, see the Blue Angel where The Beatles enjoyed after-hours jam sessions before a stroll to the Anglican Cathedral, where Paul McCartney auditioned as choirboy. Next Gambier Terrace, where John and Stu once shared a flat and then legendary pub Ye Cracke in Rice, John’s favourite watering hole before a final stop at the Philharmonic Dining Rooms, a frequent late night haunt of the lads.
