What makes this tour special

Glasgow's Victorian and Edwardian architectural heritage can be seen throughout the city, but the West End is where the most diverse and fascinating variety of architectural styles can be found. Delve into the West End’s maze of historic cobbled alleyways and charming backstreets to discover Glasgow’s laid-back vibe with your private tour guide.

On your private half-day walking tour, you will:

With its laid-back vibe and energetic Bohemian buzz, the West End of Glasgow is undeniably charming. Bookshops, art studios and quirky cafes rub shoulders with organic outlets, record stores, florists, vintage boutiques and antique shops under the gaze of Glasgow’s prestigious university. Students picnic in parks and share books on the benches, the backstreets are a-buzz with locals going about their daily business.

On your private walking tour around the West End’s cobbled streets, you’ll step back in time to soak up the splendour of the handsome Gothic architecture in the city’s historic quarter. You’ll step inside Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, set amongst beautiful buildings influenced by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, a Scottish architect, designer and artist who called the city home.

After a guided tour of Kelvingrove Museum, you will head to Kelvingrove Park on the banks of River Kelvin before heading to the city’s Botanical Gardens, famed for its stunning variety of sweet-smelling vibrant blooms, shaded woodlands and wildflower carpets, before taking a peek at Kibble Palace, a magnificent dome-topped glasshouse filled with exotic ferns.

The West End’s whisky bars, cocktail lounges and bars in Ashton Lane are your final port of call, for a well-deserved drink.
