What makes this tour special

Humble Beginnings

Founded by settlers in 1835, Queen Victoria officially declared Melbourne a city ten years later. The Victorian era gold rush propelled Melbourne to be one of the world’s wealthiest cities in the 1850s. Its legacy owes a lot to this period, the impressive contemporary architecture and diverse multiculturalism are clearly visible when you walk around the city. This metropolitan atmosphere coupled with more recent edginess in the form of street art and exhilarating band venues ensures Melbourne’s place as Australia’s cultural capital.

Beautiful Melbourne

In this four hour walking tour, your expert local guide will direct you to some of the important historical and cultural sites of this fantastic, dynamic city. You will be met at either your hotel, or at a prearranged meeting point, where you will explore the very best of Melbourne. Including the State Library, which contains over two million books and was a major part of Melbourne being awarded UNESCO city of Literature in 2012. Fulfil all your shopping needs at the Block arcade, containing some of the best preserved Victorian era architecture.

The Shrine of Remembrance, a striking memorial to all the Victorians killed in WW1, its design based on the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus an Ancient wonder of the world. Bask in the serenity of the Royal Botanical Gardens, one of the world’s most impressive Botanical Gardens, lying beside the Yarra river. Visit St Kilda a bayside suburb, where you will find picturesque views, pristine sandy beaches, and enticing restaurants and cafés.
